Okay, so this is my neighborhood pub, and I am a regular. But the bar food is great, especially the halibut fish and chips, and the burgers probably have crack in them they are so addictive. If enchiladas are ever the special, you owe it to yourself to try them. Yeah, sometimes the place is so full there are no spots at the bar, or you wait for a table or the servers are swamped, but all in all, this is a great watering hole with good food.

What is there to say, get the Chili Burger and a beer.

In a day when "the customer" is an afterthought, attention to detail is an inconvenience and the bottom line is what it's all about, there is no greater savior to what a dining experience is supposed to be all about than the Linn City Pub and all of the amazing folks who work there. It would be easy to drive right by this unassuming spot along Highway 43 in West Linn, doing so would be your loss. Yes, it IS the perfect spot to grab a cold beer, a serving of Cajun tots and catch up on the game but take a second look at the menu and you'll find a Caesar salad, perfectly dressed and for a nominal fee, topped with a generous amount of Dungeness crab. Delicious sandwiches, hefty burgers, enticing appetizers but most important in this day, wait staff and managers who are genuinely happy to see you, welcoming and delighted to go out of their way to accommodate your needs. I could go on but I'm hungry so I'm headed to Linn City for a burger, and so should you.

This was not the pub I remember from a few years ago. Our server was sweet, like they use to be. They carry the Scotch we use to love, but the similarities stop there. It was such a disappointment. We ordered the Hot Wings, the BBQ Pork Sandwich, and the French Dip. The hot wings were awful. They tasted rubbery and almost rancid. The French Dip was a let down. The roast beef is thick and very tough like I imagine soggy beef jerky would be. The mushrooms were canned, the au jus was from a powder mix and overly salty. The fries are good, simple frozen double battered fries. The ranch dressing is bad even among the worst. The BBQ Sandwich, I would strongly avoid. The pork tasted just like a microwaved hot dog. I can only imagine that it came out of a bag. I have never tasted pulled pork this bad. It was covered in a thick slice of kraft single like american cheese. We struggled through most of one half, and have upset stomachs to show for it. All of the food was previously frozen. We decided not to finish our meal. The price tag on this meal was atrocious seeing as the quality of the food was so incredibly low. We ended up driving back to Oregon City and grabbing a few plates of Sushi at Sushi Valley. I wouldn't go back to West Linn Pub again.

Luncheon with friends on a Sunday, sat outside on a small patio area. Wonderful waitstaff and food. We all tried a different menu item and report smiles all around. Nice neighborhood grill-type pub. Great french fries. Would eat here again for the good food, friendly service and relaxing atmosphere.

Came with a large group and ordered the seafood Alfredo. It still hurts to remember it. The sauce was warm milk with garlic and the seafood was from the freezer. No need to waste more time describing it- it was bad.

Great local pub. Good food and drinks, great people and service. Bloody Mary tied with breakfast will help you through the roughest mornings. Go Beavs!

Good food, GREAT happy hour, and AMAZING service by owner. Sit at the bar and have him treat you like you're the only customer.

Wow. Not many options in West Linn but still can't understand why people like this place. Been here a couple of times and the service is really poor and the food is basic. Came in at 5:30 on a Saturday and it took them 20 minutes to acknowledge us. Shouldn't have to beg for service....when your a service business.

  • Jackie A.

We have been here a few times, and all I can say is that it's very basic bar food, and the service is pretty poor. I was really surprised that the reviews were high, as its just greasy food with no atmosphere.

I like this place! LCP has a nice mix on their menu. From pasta Alfredo with seafood to a patty melt and blackened salmon sandwiches...yum! They also offer a full bar (I had the Fireball with cran) and lottery (I won $45!). Excellent service, casual environment, good food, Fireball, lottery = LOVE IT! We will be back, I'm sure.

The food is good, the service is great and the prices are quite reasonable. I highly recommend the fish and chips!

This is the best place to just hang out and have good drinks, food and conversation. we had the mushroom burger and southwestern egg rolls, Wow the chefs and the owner are awesome! everything was perfect! Check it out!

This is the best overall dining experience so far in lake oswego. Great wait staff, as good of food as you can expect from a bar or pub, and a convenient location. Quick to get you another beer, ask your kids names, and overall super friendly. We will be back.

  • Tara D.

LCP is pretty great if you are looking for a family-friendly pub that always has sports on tv. I am a big fan of their burgers and tots. They have pretty decent specials too. Most recently my friends raved about the prime rib special while I - as always - ate my burger and tots. Keep in mind that Monday night is taco night, so it gets super crowded. Parking can be a challenge if it is a busy time, but if you are willing to walk, the parking lot is pretty decent sized - you just have to park further along the strip mall.

I really liked this place! The beer was super fresh and cold, the BLT I got very tasty and the fries excellent. Our waitress was super nice and cheerful and service was quick. Decor clean and nice. I've driven by a thousand times and never come in, but am happy to find this place so close to home that has great beer and food.

Super friendly staff. Very attentive. I had the cajun salmon sammich & I thought it was great! Only concerns: I've had colder beer. Not many tots came with my sammich. Good place over all. Really enjoyed.

Yes it is a Pub and has Pub food but I was impressed with the quality of the food overall. The prices were what I expected. I had the French Dip served hot on a generous sized roll. The thin sliced roast beef was tender not fatty or chewy, and the fries were crisp. I am a fan of coleslaw but found this was almost to much to eat. Our meals came up within about 10 minutes and the place appeared to be 3/4 full. We sat at the bar and found the service staff were all very friendly and requested how were were doing & if they could get anything. They did not let their customers sit around with an empty glass or waiting for the ketchup. The Margaritas are also very tasty and it makes a nice place to go for lunch with a friend. I will visit again and I will recommend it to my friends!

Good for lunch and dinner. It is a sports bar restaurant. The salads and sandwiches are good but stay away from the sea food. We frequent this restaurant for quick meals.

Family friendly pub with really good food and great service. Its also a great place to watch sports. I have been many times and I am always happy with whatever I order.

Nice local pub. All of the employees are friendly and attentive, the food is good, and it is a very easy place to go for a casual meal and a cold IPA. We have been going to this restaurant for over a year at least twice a month and have always been happy with everything. Not a high-end experience, but an enjoyable local spot where you will be treated and fed well each time.

If you can find a parking spot, you'll enjoy Linn City Pub. Located in a strip mall that shares the parking with a daycare, a popular grocery store and the typical strip mall affair, parking can be more difficult than the Pearl. This Pub is a great lunch spot and from the times I've been there closer to late afternoon, it seems like a popular after work stopping place. Since I've always been there for work-related luncheons, I can't comment on the happy hour and drink menus. However, I highly recommend the salads which are offered in large portions and made to your specific liking (I eat regularly with picky eaters). The special of the day always sounds appetizing and the prices are decent. The wait staff is extremely accommodating and friendly. They put up with our monthly lunch group without any problem, including (gasp) separate checks. Maybe because we try to tip well. If you are looking for a quiet private spot, this isn't it. This is a small location with most of the tables right in the center of the room. Monday is taco night so you may have to talk over the sound of the chopping that happens from about 2:00-3:30.

Great neighborhood spot. Good food, always sports on the TV and the staff is genuinely friendly. The In-Laws often take the wife and I there after church and it's just as pleasant as can be.

Just plain fun place to be anytime. Someone below said it was just Pub Food, I actually think it rises above what I'd describe as "Pub Food" :) I've always thought of "Pub" in the name as primarily a Bar... which it's not. My view is it's really a very friendly neighborhood restaurant that families visit on a regular basis, just cause... there's good food, lots of friends and a comfortable place to be. Service is always good and fast.

Great place to have some good food! Simple as that.....they have a great menu with just about everything on it. Service is some of the best and anyone can go there, beer buddies, families, business etc....Full bar and lots of beer choices make it the goto place for a great priced meal!

I love Linn City Pub! Great people and great food. Always very friendly service. I have never been disappointed! I do have my favorite dishes (spicy chicken pasta for one) but every now and then I try something new. They have great daily specials and happy hour.

When my parents said they wanted to go here, and were tired of the "fancy" places I took the to in Portland, I thought - ok. I was surprised at the food quality, the great service and the friendly staff. It is unassuming in a strip mall, but serves up more than passable food. The halibut and chips were spot on- the halibut was fresh, they prepared it moist with a perfect crust. You cannot find nicer even in London

Frankly, I'm not sure why people think this food is good, it's basic bar food (chicken strips, nachos, burgers, etc) and not that great. Yeah, I get that it's a pub but with the gastropub culture in our area it's time to step up to the plate and get some real food cooking. Pretty sure most of this slop comes prepackaged and is just thrown in the fryer or nuked. The selection is terrible if you have any dietary restrictions or are health-conscious or a vegetarian. I was also a little alarmed at how quickly my chicken nachos were served, was that chicken just sitting in a warmer ready to be dumped on top of some chips? Another reviewer mentioned the onion rings but they were just plain old onion rings, likely prepackaged and then dumped in the frier. I would also expect cheaper prices to reflect the poor quality of the food. Even though it's pretty gross, it was extremely crowded when we arrived and seems to be very popular with the WL neighborhood families. Other reviewers called it kid-friendly but there is no separation between the bar stools and the tables and so it just feels like you're in a bar and people were really hitting the booze at 5 pm on a weeknight. I may return for a beer sometime but I'd never take my kids here and we'll make sure to eat before we arrive.

Too many screaming children running around to enjoy, service was friendly but food made me sick all day following my visit. Won't return.

This place is decent; their food is good, not amazing, and their atmosphere nice and sporty but nothing unique. Their wait staff is very helpful as well! We'll be making our way back sometime in the future!

Great food and great service! Kid friendly so not always perfect for a quiet meal but I'm sure that's why they are always packed. Parents can drink and watch a game with the fam

Went in with a friend to grab a quick beer. It was packed and there was no room at the bar but the sign said "please seat yourselves" so we grabbed the first booth that was available. Now my friend and I aren't dumb. We've worked in restaurants and know that 2 at a 4 top is not ideal for the waitstaff. But we thought we'd either wait for a bar stool or just grab a quick beer and scram. What else were we to do? The waitress comes up to us and seems very friendly at first, but as soon as she realized we both were just getting one beer each and no food, we could tell right away she wasn't into it. She drops the beers and within minutes slams the bill on our table, almost like she was trying to aggressively scurry us out of there for some reason? We finished our beers and left. Somebody didn't get tipped. You may read this and think we were in the wrong. But there is no excuse for passive aggressive and rude service. Maybe next time politely say something. All in all, never coming back. Hope she got fired.

One of our top 5 restaurants! My husband and I go there on date nights or with the kids. Servers are friendly and accommodating, food comes quickly and is always delicious. Tater tots are the best, along with the jalapeño burger. Love the atmosphere.

My wife and I have been here several times over the past couple of years. Good pub grub! The burgers and fries are great! I love the fries! The service is always great! All of the waitresses there are great, friendly and attentive. It's a great local hangout and they also serve breakfast on Sat and Sun. The breakfast menu is fairly limited compared to other places but is as good as their other menu items and you won't go away hungry!

  • Bill J.

I give this a five not for the food, but because the Happy Hour prices are good to great, the food is fine, the staff attentive, and I live close by. I can sit in a booth and read the latest Willamette Week from cover to cover. Today I had a ceasar salad, onion rings, and ice tea for $6.64. Plate full of onion rings.

Went there for a Sunday breakfast, they were out of a few of the items we wanted (couldn't imagine how when they only had a 6-item breakfast menu) but oh, well. Then, the waitress got one of the orders right, totally blew the other one. Ordered eggs over medium & ham and got a ham & cheese omelette, ended up eating it anyway. The lady didn't take any ownership, offer to solve it nothing, just said I heard ham & cheese omelette. Oh, well. No big deal. Food was decent. Just seemed like the waitress didn't really care & didn't want to make it right. Oh, well. Addressing concerns & fixing problems goes a long way with me and I'm one of the easiest to please people out there, but this lady gave it absolutely zero effort.

The food is always fantastic but sadly no gluten-free options. Service is great and it's always packed and fun! Video poker and Keno at the ready. This is a nice local kid-friendly pub.

I have lived next to LCP for almost a year and frequent it a couple times a week on average. I enjoy the menu, food and drink quality. As a female who worked in restaurants for 8 years and tips 40% + on average, it is extremely upsetting that the level of care and correspondence with "rules" seem to depend on if you are old enough to look retired or not. I'm sorry that I spend more money, am extremely respectful (as someone who knows the industry), and tip much MUCH more than the the highest average in hopes of earning some respect. I enjoy this business but wish I did not have to "earn" good service, especially from the female employees.

One of my favorite little pubs. Good food variety and great staff - daily specials, happy hour menu and family friendly prices. Great place for a burger and fries (typical pub menu). There is a weekend breakfast menu where the cinnamon roll French toast is outstanding. It can get busy on football game days and Friday nights. Server Jackie is always friendly and makes us feel at home.

Definitely a popular West Linn hangout. More restaurant than bar, it is a great place to relax and grab some food and drinks. At first I was going to compare it to Cheers, but really, it is closer to the diner in Seinfeld. Basic food, nothing fancy, but you keep coming back. Prices are very reasonable. It is smoke free and has wi-fi. There are a couple of flat screens so you can also catch a game. I typically sit at the bar because tables fill up quickly around dinner time and get fantastic service. They really hustle here and you can tell they want their customers to have a nice time.

I visited for the first time alone and hungry on a frigid Wednesday night. Finding the door was tricky and it took someone leaving for me to locate it. A sign on the blackened, locked door in the front would have been helpful. The place was full so I took at a seat at the bar. The bartender was the best part of my visit. He was friendly and professional. Little small talk and quick service...my kind of guy. I ordered a hot drink and their advertised special of the day. A roasted half chicken with garlic mash and steamed vegetables. I started with a cup of cauliflower soup that made me a fan of whoever the soup maker was. Thick and chowdery with chunks of cauliflower. Yum. The chicken was good. Nothing wrong with it, nothing spectacular about it either. It looked a bit like a cafeteria plate with a lump of dry mashed potatoes on it. The vegetables however were fresh, squash and red pepper done almost perfectly. I left warm and satisfied. A good find in my own neighborhood. I'll be back.

Eaten here about a dozen times, gotta say, from the very first time, it's been great. I thought fried food was fried food, but their fried food is fantastic, so is everything else I've eaten. I've even had fish there, and its not a normal choice of mine. It's all delicious. Staff is friendly, although I've been more impressed in the evenings. Looks atrocious from the outside, you'll think you've got the wrong place like I did the first time I went, but don't judge a book by its cover and come on in, you wont regret it.

Linn City Pub is a below average pub in the heart of West Linn. When we first started going here over 3 three years ago it held its own. But with a steady decline in food quality and service, coupled with a rise in prices its a mix for disaster. There are much better choices in the area to eat and spend your money. If you want to pay 10 bucks for a burger and fries there are several places to go that offer better quality and a tastier burger. Beer is usually not very cold and always served with an inch of foam. Happy hour is just OK. The best thing about Linn City is the super cool bartender. I have forgot his name. Time for Linn City to step its game up or I cannot imagine it being there that much longer.
